Twenty-four people and a charity relay race

At Emmeti (Italy), a team of 24 colleagues and family members came together to participate in the 24×1 Hour Charity Marathon, with the purpose of supporting Telethon, an Italian charity organisation dedicated to researching rare genetic diseases.

The event lasted 24 hours and each person in the Emmeti team ran or walked for one hour, day or night, rain or shine (luckily it didn’t rain, but it was really cold).

Their collective effort paid off. Our colleagues covered an impressive distance of 218 km in a single day, ranking 202nd out of 830 teams. Every kilometre was precious because the total distance was converted into funds donated to Telethon’s important research.

Sports activities are well-known for their ability to strengthen relationships between people, and this case is a great example of that. They achieved an excellent result thanks to everyone who participated in the competition and committed to giving their best according to their abilities. The Italian team showed us that teamwork is always a winning solution.
