Rettig ICC has opened a new, state-of-the-art factory in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province in China. The new facility will increase Rettig ICC’s manufacturing capacity by approximately 600 000 radiators per year. The products made in Yangzhou will be of the highest quality, including electrophoretic cathode metal coating painting. In the future, the plan is to increase annual output to 1,2 million radiators.

“First and foremost, the location in Yangzhou gives Rettig ICC the opportunity to manufacture close to our customers in the Asia Pacific region. The investment complements our global supply chain, securing fast and agile deliveries in China. Rettig ICC plans include also exports into Japan, Mongolia, Australia and New Zealand. Setting up the factory in Yangzhou was the preferred choice for us, as two local steel mills are located nearby and the site is supported by very good logistics options, including water transport via the Yangtze river. We have also had very good co-operation with the local Yangzhou authorities”, says Perttu Louhiluoto, CEO of Rettig ICC.

The manufacturing assets enable a high level of automation, a high operating rate and excellent maintainability. The machinery is also energy-efficient, ensuring high environmental performance as well as optimal operating costs during the life cycle of the factory.

In terms of impact on the local economy, the Rettig ICC factory in Yangzhou will employ over 70 professionals by the end of 2019. During the construction work of the factory, the site employed up to 50 workers either directly or indirectly.
